INNO100 in Shenzhen:

A Window into China’s Hardware Startup Scene

Today, I visited INNO100 in Shenzhen, a new showroom for innovative hardware products and tech startups.

My impression: the concept is interesting and definitely worth a visit. Within a relatively compact space, visitors can gain a good overview of what global hardware startups are currently working on — from robotics and AI hardware to 3D printing and smart devices.

At the same time, I still see room for further development.

At present, some parts of INNO100 still feel more like an exhibition than a truly interactive experience space. Especially with emerging technologies, simply displaying products is not enough in my view. It would be more valuable to demonstrate more applications live, allow visitors to try technologies themselves, and regularly organize workshops, product demos, founder talks, or themed events.

Despite these points, I would still recommend a visit to entrepreneurs and technology decision-makers.

Not because every single product on display is exceptional, but because the space provides a quick sense of the areas hardware companies are currently exploring and how rapidly Shenzhen’s innovation ecosystem continues to evolve.

For me, INNO100 is therefore less a conventional showroom and more an interesting “window” into today’s hardware and startup ecosystem.
