A leading Chinese manufacturer of brake discs is planning to establish a production facility in Europe within the next three years.

The current shortlist includes:
Germany 🇩🇪, Hungary 🇭🇺, Spain 🇪🇸, and the Czech Republic 🇨🇿

We would like to raise a core question to our German and European industry partners:

In an environment of high energy prices and rising labor costs,
does “Made in Germany” still represent the strongest argument for quality-critical components such as brake discs?
Or do countries like Hungary and the Czech Republic now offer a more attractive combination of cost efficiency and engineering capability?
