On November 19, the Chongqing Municipal Industrial and Information Technology Development Center officially awarded a plaque to the Sino-Cooperation Platform, establishing the “Industry Empowerment Center“.
The designation brings Sino-European technology cooperation into a long-term, locally embedded industrial mechanism for the first time, shifting collaboration from one-off exchange events to a sustainable, actionable, and structured model.
In recent years, technological interactions between China and Europe have accelerated. Areas such as hydrogen equipment, robotics, flexible assembly, and industrial software have progressed from early exchanges to pilot projects, with several technologies entering real production environments.
Chongqing’s decision to establish the Industrial Enablement Center signals a shared intention to transform fragmented opportunities into long-term industrial coordination.
Platform Role: Enabling Cooperation to Truly “Move Forward”
As the operating organization, the Sino-Cooperation Platform will play a central role in cross-border industrial communication and technology implementation.
The platform goes beyond information exchange: it translates complex European engineering systems into technical pathways that Chinese manufacturers can understand, evaluate, and verify; while also converting the needs of Chongqing enterprises into well-defined application scenarios that European companies can act upon.
This model enables European companies to move beyond “visiting” and instead access real scenarios in Western China to validate technological value. At the same time, it provides Chongqing enterprises with clearer technical roadmaps, pilot methodologies, and executable process chains.
From communication, evaluation, and scenario definition to pilot execution and demonstration deployment, this mechanism turns collaboration into a workable end-to-end pathway.
A Replicable Methodology for Sino-European Collaboration
Importantly, the entire system is replicable.
The Industrial Enablement Center will not only provide Chongqing with continuous access to Sino-European technology resources, but also offer an operational model for other cities seeking industrial upgrading:
It enables local governments to rapidly connect with high-quality European technologies, helps German companies identify authentic application scenarios in China, and establishes a mutually beneficial, long-term cooperation framework.
With the launch of the Center, Sino-European technology collaboration is entering a more open and action-driven phase.
The Sino-Cooperation Platform will continue working with other local governments, industrial parks, and leading enterprises to expand the model across China’s industrial landscape—creating more implementation opportunities for European advanced-manufacturing technologies while providing Chinese manufacturers with high-quality technological inputs.
